Hello Mello is a research prototype for the Faros AI take-home. Use it however you like, but read the short list below first.
What this service does
Hello Mello takes a public GitHub repository reference and builds an “operating view” — a summary page with health scores, signals, and evidence intended to help AI coding agents understand the codebase. Analysis is automated; we don't review what ends up on the page.
Acceptable use
- Use Hello Mello on repositories you own or on public repositories you have a legitimate reason to analyze (research, a public health check, open-source contribution). Don't paste in someone else's private work obtained improperly.
- Don't try to abuse the intake endpoint to overload GitHub's API via our service. We rate-limit anonymous intake to a small number of syncs per hour per IP for exactly that reason.
- Don't attach someone else's email address to a sync run so they get spammed on completion. We cap how many outstanding subscriptions can share an email for the same reason.
- Don't scrape or republish the operating views wholesale. Embed the shareable badge or link to the page instead.
No warranty
Hello Mello is provided “as is.” Analysis output is heuristic — treat it as a starting point for human judgment, not a ground truth. We make no guarantees of availability, correctness, or fitness for a particular purpose. If a health score looks wrong to you, it probably is; tell us and we'll look.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hello Mello and its operator aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. If a court disagrees, our total aggregate liability is capped at zero — you paid nothing to use this prototype.
Content from your repos
By syncing a public GitHub repository, you confirm that the content is lawfully public (or owned by you) and you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating the operating view. You retain ownership of your content; we claim no rights over it beyond running the analysis and caching the results.
Takedown
If you believe your repository was indexed in error or you want it removed, email chasewnorton@gmail.com. We'll delete the associated rows — typically within a business day.
Changes
These terms may evolve as the prototype does. If you keep using the service after a material change, you accept the updated version. See the privacy policy for how we store the little data this service actually collects.
